ARTea pARTy

HEARTFELT ART for Mindful People

Fiona McMillan our lovely local Artist is inviting you to take part in our

Evening ARTea pARTy at the Chilterns MS Centre

Let us take you on a journey through the twelve months of the year exploring the delights of creative contemplation. Each month we will be looking at a different artistic technique which will include pastels, charcoal, drawing using a wax resist technique and collagraph printing, amongst others. These workshops are with a view to not only allow you to explore creative approaches but also to unwind and care for your well-being. They will be a way of expressing your inner-child and discovering serendipitous results, free of judgement.

In the pursuit of relaxation there will be the opportunity to have a cup of tea or coffee as well as plenty of guidance and support for your arty endeavours.

Fiona McMillan artist and teacher

My love of the visual began in the playground aged four with the reflection of a winter tree in a puddle. That image moved me to want to draw and paint which I continued throughout school eventually going to art school first St. Martin’s School of Art and then the Royal Academy Schools in Piccadilly, London. I then trained to be a teacher and now teach art to primary school children; their enthusiasm and natural talent is immense and inspiring for my own work. I mostly paint landscapes and love to paint and draw directly from the landscape itself, a way of working that offers the chance to follow the energy of ever-changing light and rhythms in land, sea and sky.

Below you can see some of my creations - oil on canvas.
